A performance for fathers and sons.
A story about the search for inner freedom. A story of liberation from the past and personal traumas. A story about becoming human again, about accepting the most difficult thing in oneself, the death of a loved one.
In the Greek myth, Daedalus, the builder of the labyrinth on Knossos, invents wings with which he and his son Icarus escape from Crete. Because Icarus flies too close to the sun, he dies. What happens to the father who has lost his son? How is the father to free himself from the trauma of his loss? This point is the starting point of the play. It takes place today, in the modern world, on a Mediterranean island on the migrant route from the Mediterranean to Europe.
A performance that touches with the power of the narrative, the power of the music, intimate and resonant.
